2.1 Create company and departmental structure

The concept of "company" in the plugin can be deemed as the top "department". For easy understanding, "company or department" in this manual will be uniformly abbreviated as "department".

Create a company

Select OrgWise > Organization Structure

When using this product for the first time, you will enter the Create Company interface. Fill in the company name, and click Confirm.

If the company has been created, you will directly enter the Organization Structure interface.

OrgWise supports maintaining the organizational structure of multiple companies. You can create a new company or switch to the Organization Structure interface of any other company through the entry above the organizational structure tree.

Create a department

You can create a sub-department for the corresponding department through the menu expanded on the right of the department in the organizational structure tree or the button in the upper right corner of the member information interface.

Fill in the department name and NO. and confirm. Department name cannot be duplicated with any brother department. Department NO. is optional, and will be automatically generated if left blank.

Edit department information

Department information is displayed in the details panel in the organization interface, which can be expanded and folded.

You can open the information edit window of the corresponding department through the menu option expanded on the right of the department in the organization structure tree or the button in the upper right corner of the member information interface.

You can modify the name, type, NO. (required), leader, default assignee, parent department and description of the department. Department leader can only be selected from the members of the department.

Delete a department

You can delete the corresponding department through the menu option expanded on the right of the department in the organization structure tree. Note that the department cannot be deleted when there are sub-departments or members.

Import Departments

For a department with members, open the operation window of import department through Import/Export > Import Departments. For a department without members, open the operation window directly through the Import Departments button.

Download the template according to the interface instructions, fill in the department information to be imported, and then upload the file.
