1.2.5 Retroactively Logging Work for the Previous Month

Go to  SettingsManage apps

  1. Under "TIMEWISE" in the left sidebar, click System Settings

  2. Switch on/off Limit entry rules for log work

  3. If on, set the maximum number of hours that one can retroactively log for the previous month.

Jira Administrators can enable/disable this feature and set work logging limits on this interface.

1. Purpose

This feature, when turned on, prevents users from editing work logs/plans in the previous month if the current month as already passed a certain date (this date can be set). For example (in the example below, date set to 10) if today was June 9th, a user would be able to retroactively log work in the month of May. If today was June 11th, however, users would not be able to log work in May.

2. Enabling this feature

3. When enabled:

If the date has passed the day specified in the above setting the log work request will not be submitted.

When copying or moving the time sheet log/weekly view log to another place, ensure that the retroactive time logging date limit has not passed.

Note: even if the specified date has not passed, only the logs of the previous month can be edited. Any earlier logs cannot be edited.
