2.2 Instance Configuration

Complete instance configuration according to your business scenario. The optional target Jira system types are "DC or Server" or "Cloud" and you can choose the desired target Jira system type.

 

#Entrance

The administrator logs in to the Jira system, clicks on the gear icon , selects "Manage apps" (as shown in Figure 1) and then finds the "SYNC TO JIRA" plugin menu.(as shown in Figure 2)

Click on "Instance Configuration" to enter the “Instance configuration” page.The “Instance configuration” screen is as follows:

 

 

 

#Function

1、Add an instance configuration

Click the "Add" button at the top right of the "Instance Configuration" page and a screen will pop up.(as shown in Figure 3)

 

 

  • Instance configuration name: Required

  • Description: Detailed information used to describe instance configuration

  • Target type:Required,Target Jira system type

    • DC or Server

    • Cloud

  • Local/Target information configuration

    • Url:Automatically obtain the path of the local Jira system, required item

    • Personal access token: Default unchecked

    • Synchronize User Name: Required

    • Synchronize User Password: Required

Note:

  • If the target type is 'Cloud ', the 'Personal Access Token' checkbox will not appear in the target information configuration (as shown in Figure 4 above).

  • Synchronize users: Do not use this account as a JIRA user to create issues or add comments in the JIRA system. Otherwise, data synchronization exceptions may occur.

2、Edit instance configuration

Click "Edit" and the "Edit Instance Configuration" screen will pop up.

 

 

Note: If data synchronization is in progress, the instance configuration cannot be modified.This problem solution can be found here: Q&A 3.1

3、Delete instance configuration

Click the "Delete" and the following screen will pop up.

 

4、Information update

Click the "Information Update" and the following screen will pop up.
