2.8 Additional Logging Work
1. Introduction
If both 'Lock past work log & plan' and' Additional logging work 'are enabled in the Global Settings (2.1.10 Lock the past hours & log work additionally ), users are allowed to apply for additional logging work on locked dates, which will only take effect after the application is approved, (not applicable to the plan).
2. How to apply for additional logging work?
When adding a new log, a prompt will be given whether to apply for additional logging work when you try to log on locked dates:
Click Apply for additional logging, the application process is as follows:
First, log work;
Second, select the approver and submit the application (the additional log must be approved before it can be counted as valid working hours);
Third, after successful submission, you can check the approval results at any time;
Applicants can view their application records in 'Apply by Me':
Approvers can approve the additional logging applications in 'Handle by me':
Users can also enable notifications to receive reminders in a timely manner.
The approved hours in additional logging application will be marked with "A":
3. Convert unsubmitted logs into additional logs
After enabling hours approval, if the log is not submitted after being saved, when coming to the locked period, the log in draft status cannot be deleted, edited, or submitted. If additional log is added, it will be duplicated with the original log. TimeWise can directly convert uncommitted logs into additional logs.
When Applying for additional logging, if there are unsubmitted logs under the selected date, it will prompt the user whether to convert the unsubmitted logs into additional logs:
On the Timesheet page, open the log details window and click on the 'Convert to additional Log' button for unsubmitted log to convert it to additional log:
On the approval overview page, click on the 'Convert to additional Log' button for unsubmitted log to convert it to additional log:
