3.1 How can I modify or delete instance configuration, project configuration, problem type configuration, field configuration, field value configuration and workflow configuration when two JIRA systems synchronizing data?
The trouble of modifying or deleting instance configurations
Note: Taking the deletion of instance configuration as an example, the modification operation is similar
Trouble scenario:
In the "Instance Configuration" page, click the "Delete" button and a following screen will pop up. As shown in Figure 1 below:
Click "Confirm" and prompt "It is now synchronizing and cannot be deleted!". As shown in Figure 2 below:
Solution steps:
Step 1: In the "Project Configuration" page, select the instance name(as shown in Figure 1 above) and query the corresponding project configurations (as shown in Figure 3 below).
Step 2: Turn off the synchronization switch of all project configurations (as shown in Figure 4 below) so that you can delete the instance configuration which you want.
The trouble of modifying or deleting project configurations
Note: Taking the modification of project configuration as an example, the deletion operation is similar.
Additional note: The deletion operation can only be performed when the synchronization switch of project configuration is closed.
Trouble scenario:
In the "Project Configuration" page, click the "Edit" button and the following screen will pop up.As shown in Figure 5 below:
Click "Confirm" and prompt "It is now synchronizing and cannot be modified!". As shown in Figure 6 below:
Solution steps:
Step 1: Find the project configuration that needs to be edited in the "Project Configuration" page. As shown in Figure 7 below:
Step 2: Turn off the synchronization switch (as shown in Figure 8 below) so that you can edit the project configuration which you want.
The trouble of editing or deleting issue type configuration
Note: Taking the deletion of issue type configuration as an example, the modification operation is similar.
Trouble scenario:
In the "Issue Type Configuration" page, click the "Delete" button and following screen will pop up. As shown in Figure 9 below:
Click "Confirm" and prompt "It is now synchronizing and cannot be deleted!". As shown in Figure 10 below:
Solution steps:
Step 1: Confirm the issue type configuration that needs to be deleted belong to which project configuration record.(as shown in Figure 11 below, remember the local/target project).
Step 2: In the "Project Configuration" page, enter the local/target project (as shown in Figure 11 above) in the search box to find the corresponding project configuration (as shown in Figure 12 below).
Step 3: Turn off the synchronization switch (as shown in Figure 13 below) so that you can delete the issue type configuration which you want.
Trouble scenario:
In the "Field configuration" page, click the "Delete" button and following screen will pop up. As shown in Figure 14 below:
Click "Confirm" and prompt "It is now synchronizing and cannot be deleted!". As shown in Figure 15 below:
Solution steps:
Step 1: Confirm the field configuration that needs to be deleted belong to which project configuration record.(as shown in Figure 16 below, remember the local/target project).
Step 2: In the "Project Configuration" page, enter the local/target project (as shown in Figure 17 above) in the search box to find the corresponding project configuration (as shown in Figure 17 below).
Step 3: Turn off the synchronization switch (as shown in Figure 18 below) so that you can delete the field configuration which you want.
Trouble scenario:
In the "Field configuration" page, click the "Value mapping" button and following screen will pop up. As shown in Figure 19 below:
Click the "Delete" button and following screen will pop up. As shown in Figure 20 below:
Click "Confirm" and prompt "It is now synchronizing and cannot be deleted!". As shown in Figure 21 below:
Solution steps:
Step 1: Confirm the field value configuration that needs to be deleted belong to which project configuration record.(as shown in Figure 22 below, remember the local/target project).
Step 2: In the "Project Configuration" page, enter the local/target project (as shown in Figure 22 above) in the search box to find the corresponding project configuration (as shown in Figure 23 below).
Step 3: Turn off the synchronization switch (as shown in Figure 24 below) so that you can delete the field value configuration which you want.
Trouble scenario:
In the "Workflow Configuration" page, click the "Delete" button and following screen will pop up. As shown in Figure 25 below:
Click "Confirm" and prompt "It is now synchronizing and cannot be deleted!". As shown in Figure 26 below:
Solution steps:
Step 1: Confirm the workflow configuration that needs to be deleted belong to which project configuration record.(as shown in Figure 27 below, remember the local/target project).
Step 2: In the "Project Configuration" page, enter the local/target project (as shown in Figure 28 above) in the search box to find the corresponding project configuration (as shown in Figure 28 below).
