1. Approvers can not receive the email after enabling the Email Notification

Question: Enable the Auto Send and Manually Send of Email Setting. The approver cannot receive email notification when the approval process is executed according to the approval rules.

Answer: Check whether the Outgoing Mail switch of the Jira system is enabled.

 

2. Approvers can not receive Slack notification after enabling the Slack Notification

Question: Enable the Auto Send and Manually Send of Slack Setting. The approver cannot receive Slack notification when the approval process is executed according to the approval rules.

Answer: Check whether the user's email address has been opened as it requires an email address to obtain the user's Slack account. (In the Jira Cloud, a user's email address is private data and requires open permissions to obtain the user's email address.)

 

3. In the configuration of approval rules, the user groups that can be selected are all user groups on the cloud platform.

Question: When selecting a user group on approval rule setting window, the user group drop-down list contains not only the groups owned by the Jira system, but also the user groups of entire cloud platform.

Answer: Because Jira Cloud does not provide group data that distinguishes between different products, if the configured user group does not have access to the site where the application is currently installed, they can receive the notifications, but cannot visit the issue page for approval.
