Secure Info is a Jira Cloud App that provides users with the ability to hide, encrypt, and protect sensitive or private information that can end up in the comments of Jira issues. Through this app, name-message pairs can be created, allowing for sensitive messages to be hidden by their corresponding names. These name-message pairs can be created through the Secure Info Panel, while writing or editing a comment, or even through automatic detection with Google’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) API.

NOTE: Getting Started guide needs to be updated

By default, the Secure Info app will not appear on any issues, because it requires permissions to view. This can be configured on a per project basis. Go to a project, then
Project Settings > Permissions > Actions >Edit permissions > View secure Panel on issues
and add the people or roles needed.
