2.3.1 Issue Type Configuration

Complete the required issue type configuration according to your business scenario. Before embarking on your data synchronization journey, please make sure to complete the issue type configuration, otherwise it cannot proceed.

#Entrance

The administrator logs in to the Jira system, clicks on the gear icon , selects "Manage apps" (as shown in Figure 1) and then finds the "SYNC TO JIRA" plugin menu.(as shown in Figure 2)

Click on "Project configuration" to enter the "Project configuration" page.The "Project configuration" screen is as follows:

 

Click on "Configuration" to enter the detailed configuration screen and the "Issue Type" configuration screen is shown as follows:

 

 

#Function

1、Add a issue type mapping configuration

Click the "Add" button on the upper right of the "Issue type configuration" page and the lower screen will pop up.

 

 

  • Synchronize direction: Required

    • When the plugin installation is configured as Unidirectional, the options will be: Local --> Target, Local <-- Target, Local <--> Target.

    • When the plugin installation is configured as Bidirectional, the options will be: Local <--> target.

  • Synchronize relationship: Required

    • When the synchronization direction is "Local --> Target", the options will be: One-to-one, Many-to-one

    • When the synchronization direction is "Local <-- Target", the options will be: One-to-one , One-to-many

    • When the synchronization direction is "Local <--> Target", the options will be: One-to-one

  • Local issue type:Required, the options depending on the value of “Synchronize relationship”.

  • Target issue type:Required, the options depending on the value of “Synchronize relationship”.

  • Mode: Required, This is only shown when the local issue type and the target issue type are subtasks (as shown in Figure 4).

    • When the processing mode is "Do nothing" : synchronous task issue, if the parent task is not synchronized, the sub-tasks will not be synchronized. If the parent task is synchronized, the sub-tasks will also be synchronized.

    • When the processing mode is "Create parent issue" (Prerequisite: the parent task can be synchronized and belongs to the synchronization scope) : In the synchronous task issue, if the parent task is synchronized, the child task will also be synchronized. If the parent task is not synchronized, a parent task will be created and the parent-child task relationship will be established.

2、Edit the issue type mapping configuration

Click the "Edit" and "Edit the issue type mapping configuration" screen will pop up.

 

 

Note: If data synchronization is in progress, the issue type mapping configuration cannot be modified.This problem solution can be found here: Q&A 3.1

3、Delete the issue type mapping configuration

Click the "Delete" and the following screen will pop up.
