When getting in approval, you may wish to have the issue only execute the approval, rather than the transitions in workflow which will make the issue skip approval. Now you can prohibit the transitions: once the issue is in approval, transition is not allowed.

How to prohibit the transition?

Step 1: Confirm that the issue is in approval status

The configuration will only take effect when the issue is in approval status.

Step 2: Add a Validator

Find the workflow used by this issue in approval and add a validator for the transitions you want to prohibit.

Note: Don't worry about the issue in this workflow but not in approval rules, they will not be affected by this configuration.

Select “Transition is not allowed during approval”, Click “Add

Step 3: Publish this workflow

Take effect

After the validator configuration is completed, users cannot manually transition the approval status of the issue and can only operate through the approval panel.
