Go to TimeWise > Configuration > User and Position Level

On this page, Jira user is bound to position level. Once the Jira user enters the working hours under projects, we can calculate the cost through the working hours and the standard cost of his position level.

1. Permission Required

To be able to configure user, you must be a Jira administrator, project leader, or a project manager who has been assigned the Manage Projects permission. This menu bar will not display to users without required permission.

2. Configuration

As shown in the figure below, this page displays users who have been bound to position level, and unbound users can be bound by "Add User" or "Import User".

...

2.1 Add user

Click "Add", select the user and position level to bind.

...

2.2 Import User

Click "Import" to import users. Currently, Excel and CSV files are supported.

For the first import, please download the template first, fill in the content as required, and then import. When importing, users who have already bound a position level will take effect on the specified date with the new position level.

...

2.3 Edit user

The user's current position level can be modified. Since a user's position level may change over time, such as being promoted from a junior developer to an intermediate developer, you can edit the user to specify that the user is bound to a new position level in the future, which will not affect the initial position level.

...

2.4 Comparison table of position level and effective date

A user's position level may change over time, and the correspondence between position level and effective date is shown in the table below, where you can maintain the user's position level change.

...

2.5 Detele user

Delete the binding between the user and the position level.
